Two hitchhikers get picked up by a Maori in New Zealand. I thought this one was interesting because I actually got the Maori/Kiwi jokes. I even knew what this dude was talking about most of the time. But I wondered whether someone who hadn't visited NZ would quickly lose interest in something so colloquial.

I caught this video on YouTube sometime ago and thought it was just some odd parody of Spiderman. I ran across it again today and found out there's a whole series of 10 episodes that follow. And they're pretty great (though the director admits you either love it or hate it). The trailer was shot on 16mm for a university project in Adelaide, Australia. It's popularity led the cast and crew to shoot an additional 37 minutes of material with financial assistance from the South Australian Film Corp. There's a whole backstory behind the Italian Spiderman film's origins involving an Italian orange grower company named Alrugo which also produced films. I was perusing the I Believe in Advertising blog today and ran across two ads I enjoyed for reasons I can't really pinpoint. The first one just gave me fond memories of New Delhi (though I think it was shot in Mumbai) and, as it intended, moments we wish we could relive:

A group of dudes from Spain put together this interactive YouTube video using the annotations feature. I lost interest in about 40 seconds but it did stink of 'potential'. If anyone's up for writing something, I'm up for shooting it :cough Brant cough:

Sofia, a preschool teacher, returns home from her job to find a recording on her voicemail from her husband, Miguel, telling her that he has left and is not coming back. She stays at home depressed for a couple of weeks, before having the idea to take the recording and rearrange it to make Miguel say what she wants him to. After having him tell her he needs to come home and he loves her and other similar things, Sofia smiles and tells him, simply, "No."
